Meet Tortoise, The Walker. By reputation, she is steady, sure, wise, and patient. She is revered in cultures around the world and, legend has it, that she beat a hare in a very famous race!
But The Walker caught my attention for different reasons. She made me think about how important it is for you to step off the grid and into a more natural habitat, like the woods.
The ‘woods’ give you an opportunity to play, engage and reconnect with nature, and to experience seeing and learning from a more holistic perspective.
The mountains, moon and the entire natural world are part of an intricate, systematic life energy from which you have much to gain and gather. Nature’s laws are orderly and rich with structure, much like the patterns that The Walker carries on her back.
I imagine you stepping into the natural world and then bringing back ideas about how to create and encourage better balance within your personal and professional life. I imagine nature teaching you how to adapt to constant change, and how to use her ebb and flow as a guide for moving through the terrain before you. And, I envision you using tools, like the subtle art of transformation, and silence to explore the expansiveness of sound.
When you are outdoors, pay close attention to her exquisite beauty. And rediscover access to her vast wisdom, which you can use to improve your life and the lives of those you serve.
Commune with nature – as often as you can. She is an amazing master teacher and mentor. Step into her classroom, open your heart and mind – listen, experience, and share.
This blog is dedicated to The Walker, with much gratitude!
