Each Step Is the Way

“Are we there yet?” Last week as I was walking through London’s Heathrow Airport, I saw a sign that read: Change is GOOD. Transformation is even Better. That’s a step. That’s a huge step. But, how do we get there? There’s talk. There’s action. How do we get to Transformation?

  • Do you feel uncertain and overwhelmed as you look into the distance to some far off goal or destination?
  • Do you scurry here and there through the maze, sometimes losing focus and thinking you are off your path?

You understand the impatience in the question, “Are we there yet?” At the same time, you’re told to turn your mind’s eye to the present and calmly “be in the moment”. ‘Each step is the way’ is an empowering thought to hold when chaos seems to reign!

Staying connected to wherever we are in the moment requires the balance of an ongoing awareness. Staying focused on our future goals requires a plan; steadfast action and often some kind of support to help us discover the pathways from within ourselves.

Each step is the way, and most steps require choices – we are constantly called upon to prioritize our commitments, protect our energy, and maintain empowering expectations. A detailed vision for what we intend to create and knowing how we will position ourselves with all the personalities and situations that cross our path each day are steps in the direction toward realizing our goals.

Our time is filled with an endless number of possibilities, however time itself is not endless. Everyday it is essential to know where you are and where you are going. To reach our desired destination, we are required to put on our walking shoes, take out the map, make decisions… and without fear – take a step.

There are many routes that can be taken in the direction of your vision. I have had to learn the routes that work for me. When I failed, I had to try again, even if it took years to find the courage to do so. When I questioned whether I was enough, I still had to keep walking—one step at a time. There is a path for each of us that we need to find and follow. It is an ongoing journey – and, we sometimes forget to schedule time to reenergize and refuel.

I invite you to join like-minded women in an empowering and intimate women’s retreat called The Walk.

Learn how to acquire and practice habits of thought that get you to where you really want to be. Learn how to powerfully fuel your dreams. And, finally take the persistent actions that will inform each step you take toward the results you intend to achieve.

Are you there, yet? Maybe not, but, you can powerfully move in the direction of your dreams!

Each step is the way. Plan your next move. Walk with me on September 16-18th at the beautiful Bolger Center in Potomac, MD. For The Walk.
