Clean-Up Time!

Spring and cleaning just seem to go together – you take things out,  dust them all off, look at them closely, and discover many levels of ‘collectibles’ you no longer need in your life. But we often limit spring cleaning to closets and getting rid of the vast amounts of things we have just stored up.

This tradition is great! I exit the spring-cleaning season feeling like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. The space I live in has a great influence on my inner space – besides, what we should let go of could be of greater benefit to someone else.

In this same spirit, I use the summer as the time to clean and revitalize my inner self. Open up the curtains of your soul and Let the Sun Shine in.

There is inner debris that we can release, though it’s not typically what comes to mind. However, nature’s time of warmth and growth offers an opportunity to pull out some of our internal clutter, too – thoughts, ideas, attitudes, hard and hardened feelings about yourself and the world that no longer serve you.
