We keep a close eye on our phone’s battery … “can I get back home before it loses power … I keep meaning to buy a new car charger. Whew … I made it … back to the work I left on my laptop … oh no, it’s in the red too, quick, someone bring me a charger before I lose it all”.
Yes, we do understand the consequences of dying battery power. No green light means no connection with everything ‘out there’. Why is it that so many of us do not have the same sense of urgency for ourselves? Exhaustion. Stress. Overwhelm. And still not hunting for how to recharge.
When was the last time you unplugged from the “out there” and plugged in to charge YOUR battery?
You’re nodding because you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Let me ask you this:
How do you really feel when your energy is depleted? Seriously, how do you feel and what do you think are the consequences… write your answer down and have a good look at it.
And if, when you look at what you have written, you are unhappy with the results … then what kind of chargers do you or can you use?
