You’ve been back at work for a week. Are you busy yet?

The “Resolution Trap” is already setting in.

Ok Creators…

One week in…

Now, be honest with me: How is “The New You” doing?

Because usually, by the second week of January, the “New You” is already drowning in “The Old Work.”

Today, to pull you back to yourself, we are tackling the first pillar of our 2026 map: Productivity.

And we have to be very careful here.

Because, for high-achievers, the word “productivity” can be a trap.

Right now, you are looking at your list of 2026 goals.

The promotion.

The revenue targets.

The projects.

And your instinct is to attack them with “Busyness.”

80-hour workweeks.

back-to-back meetings.

And a badge of honor for being “slammed.”

But let me ask you: Who wins that game?

I see a lot of “winners” who are hollowed, frustrated, burned out, and living a life they don’t believe they chose.

That is not an ascent.

That is “wheel-spinning.”

So today, we redefine Productivity.

In the MPS framework, Productivity is the ability to create meaningful results ~ not by doing more, but by doing what matters.

The keyword is Desired.

Desired by you.

By your True North.

Not by the noise of your inbox.

Not by your boss in your ear.

Not even by family obligations or the desires of your friends.

Instead of using The Old Map… the zero-sum game where, if you work harder to get the promotion, you are acrificing your health and family (Prosperity) and your rest (Play).

A lifestyle where even if you win, you lose.

So let’s begin The Unified Ascent:

Where your Productivity builds your Prosperity… And your Play fuels them both.

Let’s make this real with an example.

Say you want a promotion.

In the Old Way: You just work harder… You say “yes” to everything. You stay late. And you are, and are seen to be “busy.”

Using a Unified Ascent: You ask yourself, “What are the 3 needle-moving projects that actually drive this result?”

You block deep work time.

You say “no” to the distraction meetings.

You leave at 5:30 PM to preserve your health (Prosperity).

You are not seen as “busy.” You are seen as effective and strategic.

So I remind you… In the work of Week 2.

Don’t just “do more.”

Look at your list.

Pick the 3 things that actually move the needle.

And ruthlessly eliminate the rest.

This is how we climb.

This is how we make sure we maintain the energy to keep going, happily and sustainably.
