Hello Creators and Doers …
What happens to your heart when you read this list of the Top 10 Signs of Burnout for High-Achieving Women?
I can tell you what my heart is feeling…????
- Compassion. Because I’ve been there.
- An overwhelming desire to take your hand and say it’ll be okay.
- And hope. Because there is a way forward for you.
The Top 10 Signs of Burnout in High-Achieving Women
- You’re constantly exhausted, even after sleeping well. (Yet, you push through because “there’s too much to do.”)
- You don’t feel “enough” no matter how much you accomplish.
- Your to-do list is never-ending, but your joy list? What’s that?
- You feel like you’re failing at home but excelling at work. (Success everywhere except where it matters most.)
- Small decisions-like what to eat- feel overwhelming because your brain is always on.
- You crave stillness and playtime, but when you get it, you feel guilty. (Rest feels “unearned.”)
- You’ve sacrificed so much for success…and now you kind of regret it.
- You keep switching jobs, partners, or routines, hoping the next one will make you feel better.
- You fantasize about walking away from it all but feel trapped by obligations.
- You don’t know what you truly want anymore…just that this isn’t it.
What do you feel?
If you’re feeling just a tiny piece of hope, you’re in the right place.
And if you’re feeling just a tiny bit of curiosity, because what can this lady on the internet teach you about burnout – you’re also in the right place!
I like curiosity, so let me tell you about me.
I’m an expert in building the emotional resilience necessary to create a life that you love… and to combat stress and burnout.
For the last 15 years, I’ve been shoulder-to-shoulder with high-achieving women who are so burned out they dream about running away.
Their hearts, their hurts, their deep desires, and the even deeper desires that they’ve never said out loud? They don’t shock me, I already know.
I’ve lived it, too.
My international background – moving from Miami to a multicultural school in Uganda – means that I can truly relate to diverse cultures and people.
And there is no greater need right now than for women to reach out to each other and lift each other up. That is my favorite part of what I do.
See you at the summit!
(Did I tell you how I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, and it took me 2 tries? That’s a story for next time! ⛰️)
