Fellow Adventurers,
During my “Inside-Out Safari” in February, I spent some time thinking back to the grace of the giraffe.
Their height is their greatest advantage, as they reach up to the high-level opportunities that no one else can touch.
But I noticed something vulnerable: When a giraffe needs to drink, it has to change its entire relationship with its height. It has to bend into a position that feels precarious and exposed.
As high-achievers, we are often terrified of “the bend.” We think if we stop the active “doing,” we are vulnerable.
Can you relate?
There is something I’d like you to keep in mind… the biological truth is that if the giraffe doesn’t drink, it cannot sustain the reach.
In today’s Week 3 MuseLetter, I share a 3-minute internal recalibration called the Giraffe Reset.
Don’t be afraid of the “precarious” feeling of slowing down. It is where your wisdom is replenished.
I’ll see you at the watering hole,
