Staying on the Path Series- Step 1, See Where You’re Going

Do you make time to watch the always-available news? Check.

Do you enjoy your favorite weekly shows? Absolutely.

And, how frequently do you observe a clear picture of where you’re going? Pardon?

Isn’t it amazing how we allocate so much time to ‘all things external’ and so little tuning into the ‘internal powers’ that keep us focused on our purpose?

Do you really want to harness and actualize your potential? Your “yes” is a choice that will guide right action. Your imagination is the fuel. Right from where you stand, regularly envisioning where you are going will keep you on the path you’ve chosen.  In other words, “keep your eyes on the prize”.

Schedule short power minutes to fully engage your thoughts and your feelings and wow, there it is ~ your head and heart are in coherence with each other. Your hands become ready for inspired, purposeful action. Does it take time and commitment? Yes, and yes, yes!

So, here’s your first Staying On the Path experiment (see my previous blog as a foundation for this series):

  • Imagine a short visually and emotionally charged ‘story’ of where you’re going, the results you’re after or the change you intend to be. Meditative music, and closed eyes will help you see it more clearly. Remember, architects have blueprints, authors have outlines, and hikers have routes.
  • Then take 3 minutes, 3 times each day for the next 30 days and sit with the story you created. Carl Jung shared “Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens.”
  • Share your results with someone else.

To be continued ~ stay tuned,
