Yes, it’s that time of year where many of us – even if secretly – are placing our walking sticks on the ground – setting out to accomplish our goals and intentions.
As Lao-Tzu once told us, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” or proposed as a more accurate translation: “The journey of a thousand miles begins beneath one’s feet.”
The question is how do you stay on the path?
Do you consider heading back, abandoning all hopes of your journey at the first sign of bad weather … or because you fell down?
If you ‘fail’, do you dare try again? History is replete with people from all walks of life who answered this question with a resounding “YES!”
You do go back and start again, and again and again ~ if it is your true desire to do so.
