Some Pain, More Gain

Take a look back at 2018 – what do you see and feel? What lessons did you learn? What were some of your pains and gains?

I’ve done exactly what I just asked you to do. I looked at everything as best I could remember in a spontaneous recall. I found some pain, but more gain.

During the first half of this year, I struggled with a challenging condition – Trigeminal Neuralgia – in short, incremental bouts. I experienced more extreme pain than I ever knew was possible. My initial fears were in not knowing the cause and whether it would go away. Could I cope? Thankfully, it was eventually resolved.

Juxtapose your own doubts, fears and pain with the gifts you acquired in 2018. Spend some time reflecting on this too.

My 2018 story includes having spent the far majority of the year on a forward trek, stepping more boldly and adventurously into who I am, so that I can continue putting more power behind what is mine to do.

Absorbing and practicing the immense power of thought, embracing an empowered belief system and taking action, have been the winning combination of elements.

One right thought can change our direction and rewrite our entire future. Why not take control of your thoughts and flip the script? (Rev. Arthur J. Johnson)

Some of us are not where we had hoped to be. We ask, “Where am I? What happened to the year that was ahead and all those promises?” For every moment we are here, there’s an opportunity to rewrite our script and correct our course. We have 36 days left in this year to assess where we are, where we’re going, and how we intend to get there. How are you planning for 2019?

Imagine the Possibilities!
