Perspective

Most simply put …your perspective is the way you see something. It’s the way you “look through” or “perceive” – these aren’t my words, but I do like the way they define it.

And it’s such an essential word to understand as I consider all the ways in which my perspective impacts the way that I experience the world and all the ways it has been molded through my younger years and yes, throughout my adult years as well.

It’s often hard to distinguish between what we truly believe versus what was fed to us over decades of a vulnerability that may have damaged or tainted our views on many essential aspects of our lives.

The good news is that when (if) we begin to consciously peel back the layers and even root causes of the way we see ourselves, and the world within which we live, there is hope for change and transformation … if that’s what we desire.

Whether you know the cause of your perspectives or not; you can still decide to explore other ways of thinking, believing or another path. There is hope.

And it’s liberating to know and understand that it is just a matter of learning how! How to reprogram the script you’ve been reciting for any number of years.

And the science has caught up to the power behind the use of  auto suggestions and affirmations. And so have progressive corporations… and marketing companies too.

Change your perspective? Of course you can. There are a host of guides (people or paper) that can help you along your path.

You don’t have to think and act the way your parents or friends did while you were growing up. You don’t have to believe everything you read in the news or hear in a staff meeting, now.

You can change what is allowed to infiltrate and impact your conscious and subconscious mind by starting the process of doing so … with your desire to change and transform your perspective. It begins just by your intention and persistence.

And now is as good a time as any to begin that journey!
