Today we filled your kitchen with laughter and your garden with love. I took a picture of the mural above your stove to share a tiny sampling of the vibrant colors and creative ideas you brought to life.
We planted pansies and marigolds outside because it was a way to fill the gap and bring your lonely garden back to life. We were there as you had been many seasons before; preparing your flowerpots for the bursting joy that follows spring around. We think the garden fairies approved – what a magical place to play.
We felt you watching us, and did our very best…a year is a very long time…isn’t it? I think most of us are more comfortable with the tears we shed alone. We hold our grief in silence, just behind our open eyes and hurting hearts. We choose to take it home.
Although no one asked, I was wondering, do flowers sing over there?
Love,
