Who hasn’t once wished a desired result could be handed to them on a silver platter or that a Genie could make their wish come true?
Most of us know we can’t have something for nothing, that there are very few easy ways out or too-good-to-be-true quick fixes.
At the Democratic National Convention, Michelle Obama shared: If we see a mountain in front of us, we don’t expect there to be an escalator waiting to take us to the top.
In my world, we recognize that, more often than not, whatever we desire IS indeed like climbing a mountain.
Choose to put your goals on the top, so that you can challenge yourself as you face the steady uphill work. Motivate yourself when you reach a plateau or two that slows you down. And then, figure out how to go down that slippery slope while maintaining your balance; only to head right back up the next hill.
Remember, the views and experiences you encounter along the way are nothing short of transformative, never mind the sheer joy of getting to where you know you want and deserve to be.
You can work smart, rather than hard, and still achieve your goals. However, you know there are requirements before you get to the peak.
And there will be no escalator available allowing us to avoid the sometimes-tough steps we must take to achieve what we want.
So what’s the plan?
Knowing specific details about what you want and how far and fast you want to go is essential. Get those steps in line …
And embracing what you want to achieve with all your heart is a connection that is to your success what battery power is to your cell phone.
Then, pursue your action steps as if your life depends on it.
Make sure you “do the somethings” you know will ensure you earn what you’re after!
Get started and do it now!
