Keep Your Eyes On The Prize

Many of us have been called to the streets – whether those streets are in the cities in which we live, or in the expansive space of our being, where we truly reside.

We are holding up signage declaring who and what matters. We can’t erase the past. But we can march and declare our future. We the people have always done so, in our individual and collective ways.

We are influenced or challenged by someone who has inspired or helped us liberate our thinking. And, one way or another, we have embarked on a navigation plan to the mountain. Whether through Mimi, Martin, or Mohammed, we experience the deep call to action.

I had my own Moses, and Johnnie too. They challenged me to bypass mediocrity and strive for excellence, embrace courage and creativity and to look beyond the comforting lure of playing small. They taught me to march to the beat of my own drum, armed with a liberating intention to release the strangle hold of my own fearful mind. I’m still working toward fearless. I invite you to click the link and read a page out of my ‘personal Book of Moses’ to learn more about my parents’ liberating hero’s journey.

We may feel weary and discouraged as we battle our way through the fields of change. But, without movement, we cannot reach the mountain top. And, without an understanding of what our mountains teach us, we don’t return to our outer world fully empowered by that which is written on the tablets of our hearts.

Keep your eyes on the prize – hold on!
