Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall; Humpty Dumpty had a great fall…

The Washington D.C. area had an unfortunate humpty dumpty experience a few days ago – another reminder of how challenging it is to pick up the pieces, and live with them strewn all over our streets, sidewalks and within our homes.

Many people in other parts of our globe are more familiar with disruptions caused by the ‘storms’ that occur in our lives. There is no panic when the lights go out … no great fall.

Mother Earth’s reactions (and there are many more ahead) reveal how many of her inhabitants are without basic coping skills.

We can’t seem to wrap our minds around lack or the inconveniences caused by an interruption to our familiar, daily patterns. Perhaps enrolling in ‘Back to Basics’ and ‘Survival 101’ life courses will help us move through the unfolding and probably unsettling times ahead. Life, as we have known it, is in the process of an overhaul, a rebirth.

Maybe Humpty Dumpty shouldn’t have been on the wall in the first place? What might you consider readjusting? How prepared is your family for the next ‘big one’?

Expect more change,
