Do it Now

I used to say that the “P” in my middle name stood for ‘procrastination’ – not exactly a good thing to affirm!

‘Tomorrow’ has such an allure … especially when it comes to something you really should begin today. Many of us never make it to today. There is always a reason, a ‘good’ reason, to avoid beginning and besides — there’s always tomorrow.

What stops us? The short answer is fear – sounds quip, yet whatever reason you come up with is likely to have an underlying origin there. So it may help to ask why the consistent delay…what’s the fear called?

I embrace wisdom that encourages us to take one small, consistent step at a time. That led me to better “P” words like planning, preparation, possibility, perseverance and power.

Although our tasks often feel monumental, ‘now’ is an especially good time to plan and prepare for the weeks and months ahead.  Whatever your mountain is called, each intentional step you take gets you to where you’re going.

Begin now,
