My friend dictionary offered this definition: “the fact of awareness by the mind of itself and the world … one’s awareness or perception of something”. I skipped Google – she often has an overwhelming amount of information!
Consciousness is a big, power-packed word. The expansion of our individual and collective consciousness is largely how we will fulfill the promises of a new world.
Some are oblivious to what is going on around them and are blindsided by the ‘unexpected’ and knocked off their feet. And, for those who consider themselves ‘worldly’ and in the ‘know’ … about what?
The media manipulates and directs our focus. In the meantime, there is so much more happening at deeper levels; events and impactful changes heading our way; and, warning signs we have failed to heed. However, unlike Hurricane Sandy, these changes are not being as well tracked, at least not by our major networks.
