I like to think of mountains as symbolic of whatever it is we want in life and whatever is before us, not just the challenges we wish to overcome. I believe we are climbing mountains all the time – they just have different names.
Climbing is an adventure, an exploration that we enjoy (or survive!) even better if we’re prepared for it. And, of course, we all know that even the best-laid plans can be swept away by the unexpected … don’t let that stop you – plan anyway! In a delightful book entitled “Meditations for Living in Balance” I read, “When we are prepared, we feel more balanced and more secure. When we are prepared, we can allow ourselves to be more spontaneous…”
