Choose

Choose is a powerful verb. We are choosing all the time. The problem is often the BIG choices we must make. Yes, that one!

It’s a little disconcerting for many of us. It means we must first determine what we really want or desire. It requires us to decide.

Our fears may be that we will choose the wrong thing; that we may achieve it, then decide we really don’t want it after all; or, that we are not prepared for the outcomes of our very own success.

We ask our friends, family, a coach – We search high and low for someone who will point the way so that we don’t labor over which direction we want to take or believe we should take.

Here are a few of my mountain-inspired ideas to consider when you’re faced with big, bodacious choices:

  • Start with you. Lean Within your inner power and wisdom. We often seek answers from outside ourselves. We believe others know better than we do – this is not true in many instances.
  • And, while you’re inside, think about what you see at the mountain peak of your desire. Make no apologies or excuses for what you really want to have or do. Focus on what you want to see at the top.
  • Check in with what you believe. If you don’t feel good, know that you might want to reconsider your goal and/or the pathway you’ve chosen. Yes, go ahead, you can choose again.
  • Map out your possible routes. Strategize over what you’re likely to face on your path and what it may take for you to achieve each step. Who do you need on your team? Most mountains aren’t climbed alone.

In my book Rise! I walk you through what it took for me to move from the base camp of my desires all the way up to the 19,341 ft. peak of my dreams. You can do it too! This might be a great time to purchase my book … it will help you be systematic in achieving your goals and desires.

Rise and choose!
