When you accomplish something challenging, how often do you stand back and really look at what it took for you to get there?
All roads may not lead to Rome. Sure, there’s more than one way to reach the result you seek or your desired destination. It’s often said, “jump and the net will appear”. However, when you do your homework, you discover a route that may suit you better than all others. Essentially, some good planning will take you a long way. It’s all about balance.
I believe in stepping out into our fear to begin the journey that’s required. But I also believe in a statement I coined some years back: The journey of a thousand miles requires excellent boots – my tweaked version of Lao Tzu’s famous quote, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.”
